Montefiore-White Plains Hospital Partnership Finalized
Montefiore Health System and White Plains Hospital have announced that their partnership agreement has been approved by the New York State Health Commissioner. White Plains Hospital is now a member of Montefiore Health System, serving as the tertiary hub of Montefiore’s growing Westchester network. The alliance will result in more advanced, coordinated care in the region.

White Plains Hospital Tops Off New Cancer Care Building
White Plains Hospital topped off the final piece of steel yesterday on a modern new cancer care building at the corner of Longview Avenue and East Post Road. With construction and iron workers from A.P. Construction and Local 40 Ironworks looking on, the steel beam, which was signed by hundreds of hospital staff members, patients and community leaders on December 17th, was hoisted six stories into the air and placed atop the new structure.

On Saturday, January 17th, White Plains Hospital (WPH) will host its ninth annual Nursing College and Career Day. This event will take place in the WPH Centennial Room beginning with registration at 8:30 AM, and will run from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM.
White Plains Hospital Marks a Construction Milestone With a Beam Signing for Its New Cancer Care Building
White Plains Hospital President Susan Fox and Board Chairman J. Michael Divney were joined today by White Plains Mayor Thomas Roach as well as Cancer Center physicians, nurses, and patients to sign the final beam for a modern new cancer care facility rising next to the existing Dickstein Cancer Center. When construction is finished in fall 2015, the 40,000-square-foot, 6-story building will nearly double the size of the Hospital’s cancer program to 70,000 square feet, and will provide space for the Hospital’s growing number of cancer experts, researchers, and patients. The construction is part of the Hospital’s campus-wide enhancements, which include a new 6-story patient tower with new operating suites, private patient rooms, lobby and entranceway on Davis Avenue, as well as the addition and expansion of the building for cancer services on the corner of E. Post Road and Longview Avenue.

A leadership team at the Hospital is closely monitoring the ongoing guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the county and state Health Departments for Ebola – just as we do for any disease.
