White Plains, N.Y. (September 1, 2024) – White Plains Hospital has announced that neuro-endovascular surgeon and board-certified neurologist Dr. Ivo Bach has joined the Hospital’s Center for Advanced Medicine and Surgery in White Plains.
Dr. Bach received his medical degree from the University of Zagreb Medical School in Croatia. He then completed a residency in neurology at the Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, where he was named chief resident. This was followed by a fellowship in vascular neurology at the University of Texas Houston, and a fellowship in neuro-endovascular surgery at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School.
Dr. Bach’s primary areas of expertise lie in cutting-edge, minimally invasive technology applied within the vessel (endovascular) to treat and diagnose diseases of the arteries and veins of the head and neck such as ischemic stroke, cerebral aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations (AVM) of the brain and spine, arteriovenous fistulas (AVF), carotid and intracranial stenosis or dissection, intracerebral hemorrhage, venous stenosis, and subdural hematoma. Dr. Bach also performs embolization of brain tumors and vascular tumors of the head and neck region.
