White Plains Hospital Welcomes Hepatologist Dr. Julie Sung

White Plains, N.Y. (August 26, 2024) – White Plains Hospital has announced that hepatologist Dr. Julie Sung has joined the Hospital’s Center for Cancer Care in White Plains.

Dr. Sung received her medical degree with distinction in research from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where she then completed a residency in internal medicine. Afterwards, she completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at Montefiore Medical Center and then returned to Mount Sinai to complete a fellowship in transplant hepatology.

Dr. Sung is board-certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine, board-eligible in transplant hepatology, and is a member of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases. She has been published in such peer-reviewed outlets as Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology, the Journal of Viral Hepatitis, and Clinical Liver Disease.
