White Plains, N.Y. (September 15, 2025) – White Plains Hospital has announced that cardiologist Dr. Malik Muhammad has joined WPHPA Medical Specialists practice in White Plains.
Board-certified in internal medicine, Dr. Muhammad received his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, after which he completed a residency in internal medicine at The State University of New York Upstate Medical University (SUNY Upstate). Following his selection as chief resident of quality and patient safety at the Syracuse VA Medical Center, Dr. Malik completed a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at SUNY Upstate, where he was named chief fellow.
Prior to joining White Plains Hospital, he served as a hospitalist at the Syracuse VA Medical Center, Crouse Memorial Hospital (Syracuse) and SUNY Upstate; he was also a clinical instructor at the latter.
Dr. Malik’s work has appeared in such peer-reviewed publications as The Journal of the American College of Cardiology, The International Journal of Case Reports and Images, and The Journal of Investigative Medicine High Impact Case Reports.
