White Plains Hospital Welcomes Board-Certified Dermatologist Dr. Abigail Franco

White Plains, N.Y. (August 28, 2025) – White Plains Hospital has announced that board-certified dermatologist Dr. Abigail Franco has joined the staff of Westchester Dermatology and Mohs Surgery - Scarsdale.

Dr. Franco received her medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University. She then completed an internship at Saint Joseph’s Hospital Health Center in Syracuse, followed by a clinical trials fellowship and residency in dermatology at the University of Rochester Medical Center.

Prior to joining White Plains Hospital, Dr. Franco was a consultant at the Rochester Calkins VA Clinic, where she performed the surgical removal of benign and malignant skin lesions and provided direct supervision and teaching during resident excision clinics. She has also served as Assistant Professor of Clinical Dermatology at the University of Rochester Medical Center’s School of Medicine and Dentistry.

Dr. Franco has delivered lectures at several universities, presented at medical conferences held by the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, and had her work appear in such peer-reviewed publications as The Journal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology; Pediatrics in Review; and The Journal of Dermatology Nurses' Association.
