White Plains Hospital Welcomes Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology Specialist Dr. Regina Lief

White Plains, N.Y. (September 22, 2025) – White Plains Hospital has announced that that Dr. Regina Lief has joined its cardiology department. Dr. Lief is an advanced heart failure and transplant cardiologist with expertise in the management of complex cardiomyopathies, cardiogenic shock, and mechanical circulatory support.

After earning her medical degree from the Boston University School of Medicine and completing a residency in internal medicine at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Dr. Lief completed fellowships in cardiovascular disease and advanced heart failure at Montefiore Medical Center.

Board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and echocardiography, Dr. Lief is also board-eligible in advanced heart failure. Her research and clinical work have been published in peer-reviewed journals, including The Journal of Heart and Lung Transplantation and The Journal of the American College of Cardiology.

In addition to being fluent in English and Russian, Dr. Lief is proficient in Spanish and Hebrew.
