White Plains, NY (October 1, 2015) – White Plains Hospital and the League of Women Voters of White Plains will be presenting “Exceptional Changes Underway at White Plains Hospital: Building the Hospital for the Future Inside and Out” on Monday, October 19th from 7 PM – 9 PM at the White Plains Library, located at 100 Martine Avenue in White Plains. The event is also co-sponsored by the White Plains Library as well as the Woman’s Club of White Plains.
The talk will feature White Plains Hospital President & CEO Susan Fox, who will discuss the exciting changes underway at the Hospital, where a campus-wide transformation is beginning to be unveiled. Director of Surgery Dr. Kaare Weber and Director of Women’s Cancer Program Services and thoracic surgeon Dr. Cynthia Chin will join Ms. Fox to discuss the clinical programs at the Hospital and what this growth – the biggest in White Plains Hospital’s 122-year history – means for the care of the community.
Following the recent opening of a new lobby and entranceway at White Plains Hospital, the Hospital will soon open a new six-story patient tower with private rooms, new operating rooms, new labor and delivery suites, and later in the year, an expanded Cancer Center. The Hospital is also growing its geographic reach with a new outpatient facility in Armonk, which will open in the fall.
