White Plains Hospital Ranked as One of Nation’s Best Maternity Hospitals

April 10, 2025

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (April 10, 2025) – White Plains Hospital has been named one of the 75 best maternity hospitals in the U.S. by Money – the only hospital in Westchester and Fairfield counties, and one of just three in New York State, to be included on the list. The complete Money Best Hospitals for Maternity Care 2025 List can be found here.

Hospitals that made the list are considered by Money to be well-equipped to handle a variety of situations and complications, from low-risk births to complex maternal, fetal, and newborn procedures. According to Money, its best hospitals for maternity care offer safe, effective treatment, led by experienced OB/GYN and perinatal physicians and specialists, with key indicators of quality in its analysis being a dedication to mothers and babies before, during, and after birth as well as patient satisfaction, safety records, and noteworthy maternity accreditations. A full description of the methodology can be found here.

“This award recognizes the commitment of our entire maternity team to delivering the highest-quality care – including our obstetricians, maternal-fetal medicine specialists, nurses, nurse practitioners and physician assistants, NICU, support staff, and our pediatric team,” said Dr. Michael Palumbo, Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer at White Plains Hospital. “We are proud of the work they all do to provide our families with an exceptional birth experience.”

In March, White Plains Hospital was recognized by Money as one of the nation’s best hospitals – one of just four hospitals in New York State, and the only one in Westchester, to be included among the top 75 hospitals nationwide for safety, quality, patient experience and price transparency. A list of White Plains Hospital’s awards and accreditations can be found here.
