New Facility is Hospital’s First Comprehensive Satellite
Practice and Imaging Center in Northern Westchester
White Plains, NY (February 9, 2015) — White Plains Hospital has announced that it will open a multispecialty outpatient medical facility in Armonk, New York later this year.
Located at 99 Business Park Drive adjacent to the Equinox Fitness Center, the 24,000 square-foot space is the first White Plains Hospital satellite practice and imaging center in the Northern Westchester area. Clinical services offered will include urgent care; primary care; pediatrics; obstetrics & gynecology; orthopedics; surgical and medical specialists; and diagnostic imaging including mammography, 3-D mammography and breast ultrasound.
The facility will be open seven days a week, with some evening hours.
“We have been very successful in recent years bringing our exceptional clinical services into other areas of Westchester beyond White Plains,” said Susan Fox, President of White Plains Hospital, “and we are pleased to be able to extend that care into the Armonk community.” She added, “With 17% of our patients coming from outside of Westchester County, this facility will better enable residents of Northern Westchester and beyond to access our services even closer to their homes.”
The new location is approximately 10 miles from White Plains Hospital, which, through its recently finalized partnership with the Montefiore Health System, is providing more advanced clinical services as a regional hub for tertiary care in the Hudson Valley. The Hospital is in the process of constructing a second cardiac catheterization laboratory, expected to open later this year.
Planning for interior renovations of the new facility in Armonk is underway, and the Hospital hopes to open for business in late summer. A ribbon cutting and open house celebration will take place sometime in September.
