White Plains, N.Y., January 13, 2026 – White Plains Hospital Physician Associates (WPHPA) welcomes cardiologists Drs. Frank Dorsa, Ricardo Esquitin, Matthew Fanous, Craig Hametz, Glenn Hamroff, Robert Pilchik, Alan Slater, and Howard Tarkin to the newly established WPHPA Hudson Valley Cardiovascular Group in Yorktown Heights, N.Y.
Specializing in general and clinical cardiology, cardiac imaging, cardiovascular and heart disease and congestive heart failure, Drs. Dorsa, Esquitin, Fanous, Hametz, Hamroff, Pilchik, Slater, and Tarkin are now seeing patients at their new offices, located at 2651 Strang Boulevard in Yorktown Heights.

Dr. Frank Dorsa is board-certified in cardiovascular disease, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology and internal medicine. He specializes in treating cardiomyopathy, coronary artery disease, hypertension and multiple other conditions. He maintains a deep interest in preventive cardiology and has run in 17 marathons. Fluent in Spanish and Italian, he has held academic appointments at NYU School of Medicine and Westchester Medical Center.
Dr. Ricardo Esquitin is a board-certified non-invasive cardiologist specializing in general cardiology, echocardiography and vascular imaging. He completed his medical training at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where he earned a master’s in clinical research, and at Harvard Medical School. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
Dr. Matthew Fanous is a board-certified non-invasive cardiologist specializing in general cardiology, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, and clinical lipidology. He holds a medical degree from the Norton College of Medicine at SUNY Upstate Medical University. He joined WPHPA of Yorktown Heights at 3379 Crompond Road in August of 2025 and is now part of the new WPHPA Hudson Valley Cardiovascular Group at 2651 Strang Boulevard in Yorktown Heights.
Dr. Craig Hametz is a board-certified cardiologist whose expertise includes treating coronary artery disease, heart failure and hypertension, among other conditions. He previously served as Co-Chairman of the NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital Ethics Committee.
Dr. Glenn Hamroff is a board-certified cardiologist who specializes in cardiovascular disease, with a special focus on heart failure, echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology. Formerly a clinical assistant professor at Mount Sinai Hospital and NYU Langone Health, he is the director of an active clinical trials program focused on new medications in cardiovascular disease.
Dr. Robert Pilchik, board-certified in cardiovascular disease and nuclear cardiology, is a non-invasive cardiologist who specializes in transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography, stress echocardiography, nuclear cardiology and clinical cardiology. He previously served as Chief of Cardiology at Northern Westchester Hospital.
Dr. Alan Slater is a board-certified cardiologist who earned his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. In addition to his medical career, Dr. Slater has served as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Columbia University Irving Medical Center.
Dr. Howard Tarkin is a board-certified cardiologist who specializes in interventional cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology. With over 25 years of clinical experience in cardiovascular disease, his expertise includes coronary artery disease, hypertension, aneurysms, and cardiac catheterization. He holds a medical degree from SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University in Brooklyn and has served as an assistant professor of medicine at various area institutions.
