White Plains Hospital and New York Endoscopy Center Create Joint Venture

April 12, 2019

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (January 17, 2018) — White Plains Hospital and New York Endoscopy Center (NYEC) today announced a joint venture. The NYEC will now do business as  Westchester Endoscopy Center. The agreement increases collaboration between the Hospital and the popular ambulatory surgical center (ASC) located at 2 Westchester Park Drive in White Plains and will provide patients with additional options for where to receive endoscopy and colonoscopy services.

First opened nearly ten years ago, the NYEC provides gastrointestinal services to a large population in the community.   The NYEC physicians perform more complex procedures at White Plains Hospital, where patients are able to receive comprehensive and coordinated care.

“This partnership will enable us to better align our services with the growing network of advanced care available through White Plains Hospital,” said Jack Rosemarin, MD, FACG.  This vision is shared by the group’s other founding members, Alfred Roston, MD, FACG, and Charles Noyer MD, FACP, of New York Endoscopy Center as well.

Colorectal cancer is the third leading cause of cancer related deaths in the United States. And like other forms of cancer, it is most treatable when detected early.  This summer, the American Cancer Society updated its colorectal screening guidelines to encourage all adults at average risk for colorectal cancer to begin regular screenings earlier, at the age of 45. White Plains Hospital is part of the national 80% by 2018 initiative to encourage 80% of all eligible adults to be screened regularly for colorectal cancer by the year 2018. The Westchester Endoscopy Center will provide patients with greater access to screening locations.

“As our Hospital continues to grow and provide an increasingly higher level of care in Westchester County, it is imperative that we support those physicians who are at the top of their field and share our commitment to providing the highest quality of advanced and innovative health care to our community,” added Susan Fox, President & CEO, White Plains Hospital.

White Plains Hospital has been a leader in providing advanced care to the Westchester Community for 125 years. A major campus transformation and geographic expansion in recent years has resulted in new and renovated facilities, as well as growing numbers of physician offices and offsite locations across Westchester. All these initiatives have been implemented to provide enhanced access to a higher level of advanced and coordinated health care for residents of Westchester and surrounding areas.
