Rheumatologist Dr. Matthew Snyder Joins Scarsdale Medical Group

July 10, 2023

White Plains, N.Y. (July 10, 2023) – White Plains Hospital has announced that rheumatologist Dr. Matthew Snyder has joined Scarsdale Medical Group in Harrison.

Dr. Snyder’s philosophy places patients, rather than their diagnosis, at the center of every visit by incorporating each patient’s beliefs and values into their treatment. His education and training have allowed him to see and treat the full spectrum of rheumatologic diseases, including the use of ultrasound to assist in the accurate diagnosis and treatment of a variety of disorders.

Dr. Snyder diagnoses and treats musculoskeletal, autoimmune, and inflammatory conditions in adult patients of all ages. Those conditions include osteoarthritis, gout, bursitis, osteoporosis, lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, and vasculitis, among many others.

After receiving his medical degree from the New York Institute of Technology’s College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Snyder completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Northwell Health Lenox Hill Hospital and his fellowship in Rheumatology at Northwell Health North Shore University Hospital/Long Island Jewish Medical Center. He has also completed additional training in musculoskeletal ultrasound through the Ultrasound School of North American Rheumatologists (USSONAR) program and is the author or co-author of several articles that have been published in various peer-reviewed journals and book chapters.

Board-certified in Internal Medicine, Dr. Snyder is expected to become board-certified in Rheumatology later this year.
