WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (Nov. 9, 2015) – White Plains Hospital wrapped up its first Ex-STEP-tional challenge, a 4-week long community-wide competition for the greatest number of steps that challenged area employees to be more physically active, with an awards ceremony and luncheon held at the Hospital on Thursday, November 5 th.
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (November 3, 2015) – White Plains Hospital is inviting residents to take a tour of the Hospital to learn about its variety of services and programs. Tours will be offered on Wednesday, November 11th at 9:30 AM and 6:30 PM and will be given by members of the Friends of White Plains Hospital. The Friends of White Plains Hospital is a group of dedicated volunteers who help promote and advance the welfare of the Hospital.
White Plains Hospital has been named among the region’s best in hip replacement according to U.S. News & World Report. This recognition comes as part of the new 2015 Best Hospitals for Common Care ratings which evaluated more than 4,500 hospitals nationwide on common inpatient procedures and conditions.

The event is also co-sponsored by the Jewish Book Council and Cancer Support Team
White Plains Hospital and the League of Women Voters of White Plains will be presenting “Exceptional Changes Underway at White Plains Hospital: Building the Hospital for the Future Inside and Out” on Monday, October 19th from 7 PM – 9 PM at the White Plains Library

White Plains Hospital has been presented with the Outstanding Achievement Award by the Commission on Cancer (CoC) of the American College of Surgeons (ACS). White Plains Hospital is one of a select group of only 23 U.S. healthcare facilities with accredited cancer programs to receive this national honor. The award acknowledges cancer programs that achieve excellence in providing quality care to cancer patients.
