Lyudmila Shvets-Gabriel, MD, Joins White Plains Hospital Physician Associates

White Plains, N.Y. – White Plains Hospital is pleased to welcome Dr. Lyudmila Shvets-Gabriel to its Physician Associates Division. Dr. Shvets-Gabriel is a board-certified endocrinologist, specializing in all endocrine disorders, such as the treatment of thyroid cancer and other thyroid abnormalities; diabetes; hormonal imbalances; osteoporosis, calcium disorders; obesity; and weight loss.

Dr. Shvets-Gabriel was awarded her medical degree from St. George's University and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the Jersey Shore Medical Center, where she received an Outstanding Scientific Achievement Award for the development of a streamlined protocol for electrolyte replacement in critically ill patients being treated in the ICU. She completed a fellowship in Endocrinology at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center.

A former associate professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, Dr. Shvets-Gabriel is the author of more than a dozen publications and presentations on topics such as hypoglycemia, diabetes and hypothyroidism.

Dr. Shvets-Gabriel offers consultations for thyroid and weight loss and provides diagnosis and treatment of conditions such as frequent urination, goiter, hair loss, parathyroid disorder, swelling in neck, and thyroid disease.
