White Plains, N.Y. (July 1, 2022) – Cardiac Electrophysiologist Dr. Marc Waase, Ph.D., has joined White Plains Hospital’s comprehensive cardiac practice. His specialties include the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease, atrial fibrillation, bradycardia (heart beating too slowly) and tachycardia (heart beating too quickly).
Dr. Waase joins what has become one of the premier destinations for advanced cardiac care in the Hudson Valley. With an impressive roster of world-renowned surgeons and cardiac specialists, the latest interventional and non-invasive diagnostic tools, two cardiac catheterization labs and now cardiac surgery in partnership with Montefiore, the Cardiac Services Program at White Plains Hospital works together as an integrated Heart Center team to provide patients with full-service cardiac care.
Under the direction of Dr. Daniel Y. Wang, the Hospital’s growing team of cardiac electrophysiology experts focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of these arrhythmias through the appropriate application of a number of services, including left-side catheter ablation, defibrillator and pacemaker implantation, including leadless pacemakers and advanced conduction system technologies, such as His-bundle and left-bundle branch pacing.
Dr. Waase, who holds a Ph.D. in Biochemical Genetics and Metabolism from Rockefeller University, was also co-chair of the cardiogenetic clinic at Columbia University, and served as an assistant professor in medicine, cardiology and electrophysiology at Columbia’s College of Physicians and Surgeons.
