Dr. Fara Bellows Joins WPHPA Urology

White Plains, N.Y. (June 28, 2024) – White Plains Hospital has announced that board-certified urologist and urologic surgeon Dr. Fara Bellows has joined WPHPA Urology in White Plains.

After earning her medical degree cum laude from the SUNY Downstate College of Medicine, Dr. Bellows completed an internship in surgery and a residency in urology at the same institution.

Prior to joining WPHPA, Dr. Bellows held a number of positions at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, including clerkship director and lead physician, eConsults in its urology department and five years as a urologist. She then joined OhioHealth Berger Hospital and its Grant Medical Center as a urologist, where she practiced community urology and cared for a wide variety of patients and urologic conditions for an additional four years. Dr. Bellows also participated in leadership at Berger Hospital and was a member of its medical executive committee as well as its patient safety and quality review committees.

In addition to developing curricula for the OSU Wexner Medical Center’s urology program as an assistant professor of urology, Dr. Bellows has had her work published in a variety of professional journals, including Urology Practice, Urology Gold Journal, Journal of Endourology, and JAMA Surgery.
