Doctors Craig Berzofsky, Ameet Kamat and Jk Rasamny First Otolaryngology/ENT Group to Formally Align with White Plains Hospital

White Plains, N.Y. (September 4, 2019) – White Plains Hospital welcomes Dr. Craig Berzofsky, Dr. Ameet Kamat and Dr. Jk Rasamny to its Physician Associates Division. The group is the first otolaryngology practice to join White Plains Hospital Physician Associates, further advancing the Hospital’s commitment to the community to provide complex care close to home. The addition of the otolaryngology practice expands the breadth of advanced head and neck services provided by the Hospital’s employed medical staff, which now comprises more than 300 physicians and surgeons.

Dr. Craig Berzofsky received his undergraduate degree from Emory University and his Medical Degree from New York Medical College, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He completed his residency in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, and a fellowship in Laryngology at Southern Illinois University. Dr. Berzofsky also received a Master’s degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Dr. Berzofsky’s clinical focus is in treating voice, airway and swallowing disorders.

Dr. Ameet Kamat graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Brooklyn College and SUNY Downstate Medical College in their combined Bachelors/Medical degree program. He completed his Otolaryngology residency at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary and then went on to complete a Rhinology and Skull Base fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Kamat specializes in medical and surgical therapies for advanced sinonasal disease in both adults and children.

Dr. Jk Rasamny received his undergraduate degree from Duke University, and his Medical Degree from the University of Virginia, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He completed his residency in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Virginia, followed by a fellowship in Head and Neck Oncology at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Rasamny focuses on the care of adult patients with malignant and benign tumors of the head and neck, and has specific expertise in the application of transoral robotic surgery (TORS), a minimally invasive treatment for tumors of the
tongue base, tonsil, pharynx, larynx and parpharyngeal space.

The group will see patients at multiple locations, including the White Plains Hospital Center for Cancer Care in White Plains, the White Plains Hospital Medical and Wellness facility in Armonk and the White Plains Hospital Physician Associates practice in Somers.
