Dermatologist Dr. ChangHyun (Mike) Kim Joins White Plains Hospital

White Plains, N.Y. (October 7, 2024) – White Plains Hospital has announced that board-certified dermatologist Dr. ChangHyun (Mike) Kim has joined the staff of Scarsdale Medical Group in Harrison, N.Y.

An expert at the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer, pre-cancer, acne, psoriasis, and other skin conditions, Dr. Kim earned his medical degree from the Yale School of Medicine, after which he served as a transitional year intern at the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose, CA. He then completed a residency in dermatology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Dr. Kim has worked as a general and surgical dermatologist at several California-based institutions, most recently at Southern California Kaiser Permanente Medical Group and at the Advanced Institute of Dermatology, both in Palm Desert. Working in sunny Palm Desert, he became very experienced in the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer, which is caused by sun exposure.

In addition, Dr. Kim has worked as a preceptor and lecturer at the Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs and Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona. His work has been published in peer-reviewed outlets Dermatologic Surgery, JAMA Dermatology and Pediatric Dermatology.
