White Plains Hospital observes the beginning of American Heart Month by welcoming Dr. David E. Solarz to White Plains Hospital Physician Associates. Dr. Solarz is board certified in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine. His areas of clinical expertise include adult cardiology, advanced and nuclear cardiac imaging, peripheral vascular disease and arrhythmias.
Dr. Solarz completed his undergraduate studies in human biology and health and society at Cornell University. He earned his medical degree at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and completed his internship at Boston University Medical Center. He completed his residency and Chief Residency in internal medicine and cardiology fellowship at Boston University Medical Center.
His professional memberships include the American Society of Echocardiography, the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association. He has been recognized by Healthgrades as a Top Ten Doctor, and has received the “Patients’ Choice Award” and the “Compassionate Doctor” designation. He most recently served with the ColumbiaDoctors Medical Group and Columbia New York Presbyterian Hospital. He participated in the care of the New York Rangers hockey team, has written for Cardiosmart.org and Lifelong Learning for the American College of Cardiology, and has worked at the American College of Cardiology on a national level to reduce conflict of interest in national meetings. He was selected by his peers as a Castle Connolly Top Cardiologist for 2018.
