Allergist and Immunologist Dr. Claire Smigiel Joins WPHPA

White Plains, N.Y. (September 29, 2025) – White Plains Hospital has announced that board-certified allergy and immunology physician Dr. Claire Bottomley Smigiel has joined White Plains Hospital Physician Associates of Scarsdale.

Dr. Smigiel received her medical degree from New York Medical College. She then completed an internship and residency in pediatrics at the New York University School of Medicine, followed by a fellowship in allergy and immunology at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California (USC).

She has presented quality improvement projects and lectures at several clinics and before several professional organizations, including the American College of Allergy, Asthma, & Immunology, the New York University School of Medicine, and the Federation of Clinical Immunology Societies. In addition, Dr. Smigiel’s work has been published in such peer-reviewed outlets as Experimental Dermatology and The Annals of Allergy, Asthma, & Immunology.

Before joining White Plains Hospital, Dr. Smigiel provided care at Allergy & Asthma Specialist Doctors, Inc. in Pasadena.
