WHITE PLAINS, NY. (June 3, 2015) – On June 28th and 29th, Emmy Award winning sportscaster and NFL legend, Ahmad Rashad will host the 6th Annual Celebrity Golf Classic benefiting White Plains Hospital. The Golf tournament is sold out; however a number of tickets are still available for the Sunday evening cocktail party. Expected celebrities at both events will include Marcus Allen, NFL Hall of Fame; Tony Dovolani from “Dancing with the Stars”; Jay Harris, ESPN Sportscaster; David Justice, former outfielder for the NY Yankees; Jason Kidd, former point guard with the NJ Nets and currently the head coach of the Milwaukee Bucks; George Lopez, comedian, actor and talk show host; Darryl Strawberry. former right fielder with the NY Mets and NY Yankees; Alan Thicke, actor, most notably starring in the TV Show “Growing Pains”, and others.

The event features an Opening Celebration Cocktail Party at the Ritz-Carlton Westchester on Sunday, June 28th from 7-10pm. The evening offers hors d’oeuvres, live entertainment and an exciting silent auction. All proceeds from the Sunday evening event will benefit the Hospital’s Pediatric Services. The Golf Classic will follow the next day, Monday, June 29th at the Quaker Ridge Golf Club in Scarsdale, NY, ranked among the top 100 golf courses in the United States by Golf Digest. Participants in the tournament will be paired with top names in the world of sports and entertainment. An awards ceremony, silent auction and dinner and cocktails will follow play. All proceeds from the Golf Classic directly benefit White Plains Hospital.
