Celebrating the next step in our Hospital’s historic transformation; a new Center for Advanced Medicine and Surgery.
Earlier this week, we marked another milestone in our Hospital’s campus expansion by breaking ground on a new 252,000 square foot, nine-story Outpatient Care Center at the corner of Maple and Longview Avenues. Elected officials, community leaders and supporters joined the Hospital’s leadership to reflect on how far we have come over the last century and a quarter, and how far we are going to meet, and exceed the needs of the community we serve. The new Outpatient Care Center will consolidate many of the Hospital’s growing ambulatory services into one sophisticated and spacious location, equipped with the latest technology and comfortable treatment and waiting areas for patients and families. Some of the services to be provided in this new center are advanced imaging; ambulatory surgery; endoscopy; high risk maternal-fetal medicine; orthopedics and spine care; heart and vascular medicine; surgical services and hyperbaric wound care. The facility will connect to the main Hospital building and the Center for Cancer Care, providing a seamless coordination of care for patients who need other services.
Just as impressive as the plans for this state-of-the-art building is the higher level of care that will be provided there. Patients will no longer need to travel to Manhattan for advanced, specialized medical and surgical services when they can receive the very best right here, in the heart of Westchester. Combined with the Hospital’s longstanding reputation for an outstanding and personalized patient experience, this offers the best of both worlds for Westchester residents.
Because after 126 years of evolving to meet the needs of the community we serve, there is no better time than now to look to the future- and to continue on with our mission of providing care that is nothing short of exceptional, every day.
