Hands-Only CPR: Save A Life With These Two Steps

A sudden cardiac arrest can occur with no warning and often outside of a Hospital. Would you know what to do?

Taking quick action can make all the difference for someone close to you. Learn the two simple steps:

  1. Call 911.
  2. Push hard and fast in the center of the chest. Use the beat of a song like “Stayin Alive” by the Bee Gees to help you make 100-120 compressions per minute.

Make sure to stay on the phone until professional help arrives.

Hands-only CPR can double or triple a cardiac arrest victim’s chances of survival1, and White Plains Hospital is committed to sharing this potentially life-saving knowledge with our community.

In a life-threatening emergency, don’t miss a beat.
