New Medical Staff Leadership at White Plains Hospital

White Plains, N.Y., January 26, 2026 – White Plains Hospital has announced new medical leadership at the Hospital. Dr. Jk Rasamny is the new President of the Medical Staff at White Plains Hospital, a position he will hold until the end of 2027. Dr. Rasamny, who previously served as Vice President of the Medical Staff, succeeds Dr. Claudia Felberg as President.

Board-certified in Otolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery, Dr. Rasamny is Chief of the Otolaryngology Section at White Plains Hospital. Specializing in treating malignant and benign tumors of the head and neck, Dr. Rasamny was the first surgeon in Westchester County to use TORS (TransOral Robotic Surgery) to remove these tumors, completing the county’s first robotic radical tonsillectomy. He was recently a recipient of Westfair Communications’ “Doctors Without Boundaries Award” for his volunteer surgical work in Mwanda, Tanzania in 2024 and 2025.

Pulmonologist Dr. Emanuel Wurm succeeds Dr. Rasamny as Vice President of the Medical Staff, while Chief of the Section of Endocrinology Dr. Kay Lovig was elected Secretary/Treasurer.

While those officers will serve two-year terms, three physicians were elected to three-year terms as delegates: urologist Aaron Hagge-Greenberg, M.D., who is Chief of the Section of Urology; oncologist Subuhee Hussain, M.D., who is Chief of the Section of Hematology & Oncology; and Waqas Malik, M.D., a hospital medicine physician at Summit Health who is also a hospitalist at White Plains Hospital.

Previously elected Medical Staff delegates completing their three-year terms in 2026 are breast surgeon and Director of Breast Surgery Preya Ananthakrishnan, M.D.; cardiac electrophysiologist James Peacock, M.D.; and Randy Stevens, M.D., Director of Radiation Oncology at the White Plains Hospital Center for Cancer Care.
